Privacy Policy

1. What the product does

Instant SERP Snapshot lets you capture Google Search result pages, export the captured data, keep a local history inside the extension, and optionally sync snapshots to your account when you use paid features.

2. Data stored locally in the extension

The extension may store the following data locally in Chrome storage:

• saved keywords and capture settings
• captured SERP history, including titles, URLs, domains, snippets, locale, country, and timestamps
• export metadata such as the last exported file name and time
• authentication state, including access tokens and basic account information
• temporary sync queue data for Pro users when snapshots are waiting to be uploaded

3. Data collected from Google Search pages

When you run a capture, the extension may collect data visible on the Google Search results page you requested, including:

• the search query you entered
• result rank positions
• page titles
• destination URLs and domains
• snippets or result descriptions
• capture metadata such as locale, country, device type, requested result count, and capture time

4. Account and authentication data

If you connect the extension to your account, we may process your email address, account status, subscription status, and authentication tokens required to keep the extension connected to your workspace.

Authentication tokens are used only to authenticate requests to our backend and to determine whether Pro features should be enabled.

5. Data sent to our backend

When you use connected or Pro features, the extension and portal may send data to our backend, including:

• account and session requests needed for login and subscription management
• billing status checks
• snapshot payloads you choose to sync to your account
• history export requests you initiate from the extension or portal
• basic technical request data such as IP address, user-agent, timestamps, and server logs

6. Billing and payments

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card details on our own servers. Billing providers process payment data according to their own privacy terms.

7. How we use data

We use data only to provide and operate the product's user-facing features, including:

• capturing and exporting SERP snapshots
• displaying local history inside the extension
• syncing snapshots to your account when requested by the product flow
• determining free versus Pro access
• handling subscription and account workflows
• maintaining service reliability and security

8. Data sharing

We share data only when needed to operate the service or comply with law, including:

• hosting and infrastructure providers that support the portal and backend
• Stripe for subscription and billing operations
• legal or regulatory authorities when disclosure is required by applicable law

9. Retention and deletion

Local extension history remains in your browser until you delete it, remove the extension, or clear Chrome extension storage. Server-side data is retained only as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, provide requested account features, maintain records, and enforce security.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of storage or transmission is perfect, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your choices

You can:

• disconnect the extension from your account
• delete local extension data by removing the extension or clearing its stored data
• avoid syncing by using local-only features without connecting your account

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are published.
